Role: Acquisition Marketing Manager (Direct Response Marketing)
Location
: Andover, Hampshire
Salary: £70,000 to £80,000 (based on experience) plus benefits

This plucky scale up organisation (around 80-100 people), is looking for someone with particular skills and experience in offline direct response marketing to take over control of their acquisition marketing engine.

This will mean oversight of and leadership of a small team. With you providing the specialist knowledge in DRTV driving lead generation, whilst leading a small team who will also support and bring their own specialist knowledge on digital performance and paid social channels.

You will be overseeing the overall programme and a £6-8m budget. Ensuring value for money and CPA rates are being achieved.

Currently they’re in a pretty good spot, and the programme is driving the right levels of returns. But there’s always room for improvement, and this will become your baby.

There’s bigger scope for growth through digital channels, and the company’s prepared to increase media spend provided you can prove returns and value can be achieved.

You’re likely going to have to do a bit of hiring too, as the team supporting you has yet to be appointed. Thinking it’s probably best you made the decisions around who you want and what’s the right character fit. But it’s good to know the budget and plan is there, waiting for you to act on it.

Your report line will be to the company’s Managing Director, and there’s a wider marketing team who handle different aspects of the marketing mix as well as lifecycle marketing.

They really need that specialist knowledge in offline direct response media now. How to plan, execute and optimise channels. Looking deep into the numbers and details to understand channel attribution and performance in order to continue to drive results at the best possible value.

You’ll also be leading their agencies. Both media and creative. Briefing, critiquing and reviewing performance. Ensuring you’re getting the best out of them.

So if you’re interested in joining a place where you’d be more than just a cog within a production line, have a voice with senior leaders and be part of a business experiencing rapid growth, why not give this a try?

Key experience necessary

  • Direct response marketing specialism, with a good knowledge of DRTV and how to drive effective performance from these channels
  • Broader appreciation and oversight of acquisition marketing to include digital direct response channels. So you’re able to give guidance and direction to your team
  • Great head for numbers, able to dig into performance results. Optimising a programme
  • Able to demonstrate you’ve worked with similar budgets before and love the opportunity to join a business which doesn’t have a lot of red tape. But does have a lot of potential growth ahead of it.

Must be able to live and work in the UK unrestricted.
