My client a high-performing, award winning, innovative, Kent law firm are looking for a Legal Cashier to join their Finance Team. This firm have found themselves placed within The Lawyer’s 200, as well as being recognised within some of the country’s other leading legal bodies, including Chambers and the Legal 500. The central duties of this role include, but are not limited to:
 
  • Experience of using electronic accounting systems.
  • Working knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules requirements.
  • Posting payments and inputting onto the online banking system.
  • Posting client and office account receipts (cheques and online receipts).
  • Checking and posting client bills and credit notes.
  • Posting client transfers and bill write offs.
  • Dealing with fee earner and secretary queries.
  • Processing staff expenses.
  • Producing and following up monitoring reports (e.g. inactive accounts, residual balances, client-to-office transfers).
  • Processing purchase ledger invoices.
  • Previous use of online banking systems.
  • Assisting with other day to day cashiering duties, including Solicitors Accounts Rules compliance, as and when required.
 
Location: Kent (hybrid working available)
Salary: c.£25,000 (depending on experience)
