Legal Secretary – Property

My client is looking for a Legal Secretary to join their Property team. They are a wonderful firm who have been serving East Kent for over twenty years. This is a great opportunity to join a small, close-knit team who put a focus on client understanding and happiness.
 
Some of the central duties of this role include, but are not limited to:
  • Typing and dictation.
  • Writing and completing relevant documentation.
  • Diary management for dedicated fee earners.
  • Fielding calls coming into the department.
  • Working one-on-one with a fee earner and assisting them with their caseloads.
  • Communicating with clients in person, over the phone and over email.
  • Taking charge of cases in the fee earners absence.
  • Submitting Search requests and using the Land Registry Portal for ordering documents and making applications to register transfers/mortgages etc.
  • Drafting and sending Sale Contracts together with appropriate documentation.
  • Dealing with post exchange formalities such as searches, drafting transfers and preparing Completion Information and Undertakings forms.
  • Dealing with matters on the day of completion and post completion matters such as Land Registry applications using both hard forms and the Land Registry Portal.
 
*Please note the successful candidate must have Legal Secretary experience in Commercial Property or Residential Property*
 
Location – Whitstable
Salary: £22,000 - £25,000 (depending on experience)
