Paid Social Manager – iGaming Location: London, UK Category: Social Media Type: Permanent Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 + 10% bonus + benefits Job Reference: 2511 Consultant: colin.doree@bluepelican.com Apply Paid Social Manager – iGaming Location: London, hybrid working (3 days in the office) Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 + 10% bonus + benefits This is an opportunity to join an independent iGaming business that's experiencing significant international growth. To put some numbers behind that, the team you'd be joining has grown by 1,200% over the last four years. During that same period, the business has expanded into 10 new international markets and introduced four additional brands to its portfolio. It's an international success story, with brands that appeal to casual players. People who enjoy dipping in and out of games when they've got a few minutes to spare, rather than spending long periods playing. The Social Media function is split into two areas: brand-led content and performance-focused paid social. This role sits firmly in the performance camp, where customer acquisition, conversion and commercial returns are what matter. It's a management-level appointment, initially operating as an individual contributor. However, with the business continuing to scale, there's an expectation that the role could take on one or two direct reports within the next 6 to 12 months as the paid social function grows. Your remit will involve managing international campaigns at scale, working with substantial budgets and driving the performance metrics that genuinely impact the bottom line. This isn't a big, corporate environment either. The business is more entrepreneurial than many of its competitors, with relatively flat structures and good access to senior decision-makers. You'll have visibility with senior executives, including the CEO, and the opportunity to make a real impact. Career progression can happen quickly here, particularly if you're ambitious, commercially minded and know how to deliver results. The company also invests in developing its people, with access to professional development and courses covering leadership, management, marketing and more. What you'll be doing You'll take ownership of paid social activity across assigned international markets, with responsibility for: Campaign management and optimisation: Managing campaign setup, execution, budget pacing, optimisation and compliance across multiple platforms and markets. Commercial performance: Working with substantial budgets, focusing on acquisition costs, conversion rates, player value and customer lifetime value to ensure campaigns deliver meaningful commercial returns. Reporting and analysis: Producing daily, monthly and quarterly reporting, using performance data, attribution insights and customer value metrics to identify opportunities and inform decisions. Creative collaboration: Working with brand and creative teams to develop and optimise campaigns, balancing upper-funnel activity with a clear focus on acquisition performance. Tracking and measurement: Working closely with data and technical teams to ensure campaign tracking, tagging, attribution, landing pages and links are correctly configured and performance can be measured reliably. International campaign strategy: Adapting activity to different markets, recognising that audience behaviour, creative response, cultural nuances and commercial opportunities will vary from one country to another. Continuous improvement: Identifying opportunities to improve automation, efficiency, processes and technical capability across the paid social function. What you'll need to be good at First and foremost, you need to come from a performance-focused paid social background. We're looking for someone who understands how to drive conversions and deliver a measurable commercial return from paid social campaigns. This isn't a role focused primarily on brand awareness, engagement or organic social content. Beyond that, here's what matters: Relevant paid social experience: You'll have a solid track record managing conversion-focused campaigns across platforms such as Meta, TikTok and/or Snapchat. Your experience could have been gained in-house or within an agency. A commercially focused mindset: Experience within iGaming would be advantageous, but it's not essential. Backgrounds in ecommerce, retail and other performance-driven industries can translate well. What's important is your ability to understand the commercial mechanics of a campaign, including CPA, player value, lifetime value and what makes acquisition profitable. Strong communication skills: You'll be reporting on paid social performance to stakeholders at all levels, potentially including the CEO. You'll also be working with colleagues across international markets, so you need to communicate clearly and confidently, both verbally and in writing, and be comfortable adapting your approach to different audiences. The ability to manage complexity: Although this is a brand-side role, the environment operates in some respects like an internal agency. Think 10+ international markets, 5+ brands and stakeholders across different countries, all looking to you for paid social expertise. You'll need to balance competing priorities, manage expectations and keep multiple campaigns moving without losing sight of performance. It's fast-paced, varied and no two markets are quite the same. Analytical and technical capability: You'll be comfortable working with large datasets, reporting tools and attribution models. Strong Excel skills are expected, while experience with mobile measurement platforms such as AppsFlyer, or visualisation tools such as Tableau, would be beneficial. You'll also understand campaign tracking, tagging and attribution, including Google Tag Manager (GTM). People management potential: Ideally, you'll have managed someone previously, although experience mentoring or developing junior colleagues would also be valuable. You don't need to be an established people manager, but you should have the appetite and potential to take on that responsibility as the team expands. Finally, you'll need to be confident presenting your recommendations, challenging assumptions where appropriate and explaining what the numbers actually mean. The strongest candidates will be able to move comfortably between detailed campaign analysis and bigger-picture commercial thinking.
